The main trick to recovering from a lockout is to find the proper procedures to eliminate to obstacles. Once you locate to problem, just make sure to spend the necessary time fixing the issue. I personally have found that the key request will not work unless you maintenance every last option. The electronics involved are very tricky to troubleshoot since the have diodes that protrude from the casing. The keyboard will be helpful and the software involved is technical. Overall, just make sure you know what you are doing before you tear apart all the equipment or you will not be able to re-assemble.
