Walt Disney World Vacation Packages Save Money. Hotels by the Resort in Florida are a Discount but not a Deal.

I was thinking about our awesome trip to Disney World we took earlier this year and felt the need to write more about it.  My old school of thought was always to stay in a hotel off Disney property to save some money.

  This year, we booked a Disney package for Port Orleans-French Quarters.  It also included a $500 Disney card.  Now while discounted/cheap Disney tickets don't really exist, this $500 card made the whole trip much more enjoyable.  We used it for almost all our food and some souvenirs.  Bought some great beer/drinks at Epcot with it as well.  We didn't go on any Disney World tours, but we saw so much Disney in those six days that it was unnecessary.  The very convenient Disney bus service was timely and  relaxing.  Next trip to WDW will definitely mean a stay on Mickey Mouse property.   Surprise the kids with Disney World passes and you will enjoy a lifetime of great memories.
